yeah, some 80's rock here, or at least a good step in the right direction.

One thought I have right away, if you as the producer think it's long/repetitive, why didn't you do anything about it before you sent it to the compo? Because I have to agree with you, the song is a bit too long to last.

In the intro the melody that's played is a familiar one. I'm also a bit confused as to why you decided to pan it out all the way to the left. As it's such a dominant instrument that plays (instr. 09) the song gets a bit heavy on that side. I think the intro could have worked better without that small melody snippet, especially since it's not the main theme of the song.

From pattern 04 forward I like this tune, it has that good rock power going. The drums are cool imo, work very well with the rest of the tune. Like the tom-fills also. Why you decided to put the open hihat in the far right, when the rest of the hihat is more or less in the center I don't understand though. Otherwise the drums are pretty well panned.

When most guitars and other instruments are playing it all becomes a bit of a general mishmash. Otherwise it works pretty well, but the piano is almost completely gone in these segments. The guitars could perhaps have a bit less volume.

Overall, I like this tune. There's a bit too much going on in the peaks though (pattern 10 onward a bit for instance), so I'd cut away some of the instruments, or at least lower the volume on some of them. But still, one of the more enjoyable pieces. Cut the length down a bit, trim some volumes and panning here and there and you'll have a very good tune in you hands.

The drums tend to drown in the mix, and lack punch - some other sounds are out of balance with the mix too. For a tracker song, the musical style is rare and quite original. Towards the end of the song there's a transpose and repeat, and the song ends by fading out - two things that drag down the global score, which might have otherwise tilted the score upwards somewhat.
