Right, a track with a 4/4 beat, however hard to define a genre. One question right away, why such a short tune? barely over one minute in length. Basically what you had here was an intro, and the start of the main part of the song. This sounds a bit like my first experiments with trackers. One tip, don't try to get too much into one tune. Find a red line to follow throughout the song, don't jump from one theme to another.
The drumprogramming, well what can I say, your basic kick+hihat+snare combo. Take time to learn programming drums if you plan to continue doing this kind of music, they're the driving force of the tune and should be variating enough to not get boring.
I'll be honest, all of your points come from the break, patterns 06 and 07. I liked the atmosphere you create there with the synth and the pads. Would this break have been done with good quality samples, and would it have been a bit longer, it would have been great :)
I like what you do with instrument 07 also, has the potential of being a very nice chord. You should develope this further.
Sample quality is mediocre. Take the time to find good samples, trust me, it's worth it in the end. It's much more fun to play around with good quality samples ;)
Overall, this tune has the potential of being a good trance piece, but it's way too short, and it lacks a clear structure. Keep it up though, mr 14 year old! Patterns 06 and 07, and the chord you play with instr.07 definetly show potential. :)
