Downtempo, chilled. In general, I'm a big fan of this kind of music, and although this one falls a bit short, it does have it's good sides also. Like the vocal sample and the way it's implemented for instance.

The filtered pads are the first thing on the negative side, doesn't sound that good when they cut completely when a new note plays. I would have used a note-off, and a long decay on the pads, so they don't cut immediately. Also, a bit of reverb wouldn't have hurt them, to give them a bit more width and depth.
The bass is the next thing, a bit too loud in my opinion. Same goes for the strings in the second passage, at pattern 23 about. They jump out of the mix.

I like the use of the 24 effect to reverse and play around with the drumloop, giving the drums more variation. A pretty nice drumloop also, suits the tune well.
In the end, why the jump to something resembling drum'n'bass? Why not just cut it before that section? A fade out there would have worked better I believe.

Overall, nice, but falls short on the technical side.
