Water Traveling is a good example of original usage of different genre's to make another. THis tune combines tech-trance and some minimal deep house and a hint of demomusic to something of it's own, nicely done!

The whole track flows nicely around some intresting drum programming and great usage of effects on them. However the sounds could have been a bit better, making them shorter usualy works, this would give the track just that little bit more transparancy.

The track isn't repetive in anyway, things come back ocasionaly but there are always diffrent thing to it so it doesn't realy show. I like that the track is building up to the end bit in a great way. But the end itself is a shame, maby you ran out of time or something but I would have realy liked to hear a proper ending to the track.

Production wise there are some little things to be done, some more compression would have been nice and maby another sound for the bass and kick could have made the track a bit more edgy but in all this track is realy good!

Good stuff, keep it up!

Seems to be some sort of of deep tech-house or something. The track overall seems to be more a collection of fx runs at first. It does probide some melodies also, but they don't really get to their full potential until the end of the track. Some of the melodies sound a bit missplaced also (one starting at about 2 minutes for instance). They don't fit in quite with the rest of the toneworld.

Mixwise this track is among the better. There are some fx hits (especially the sharp ones) that could have a bit less volume, and the stereofield could have been used much more in an experimental track like this, but other than that things find their place.

Sample quality sounds a bit low. Even though this seems to be some sort of stab at dark tracks, I think the same could have been achieved while retaining crispness in the samples.

In general, what this track lacks most is an ability to create a desire to listen to it more than once. Yes, it's interesting because it goes more the Björk than the Scooter way when it comes to structures, meaning it dares to take chances. However, it still follows regular paths too much for me to want to listen to it more just to find new aspects of it.

Hey, two great entries in a row ! This must be my lucky day ! (just reviewed "Vokalyze" before your entry).
Starts like some intergalactic D&B and then evolves into some interesting techno piece with some demo sounding lead sounds (that are not that good, neither from the choice of sounds nor from the melody they provide, which made me lower my theme and arrangement note), the e-piano is also a bad choice, better sounds could have been chosen instead of it.

While the beginning has a great build up, towards the end it gets more confuse. Maybe am I not ready for the dark world by now... The very end, where the song gets more demoish (after the e-piano comes in) is however better again...

The technical aspect of the song is almost flawlass. Great mixing, nothing muddy, great bass & drums, nice pads... an exemple to follow here...

If there hadn't been that lead sound towards the middle and that average e-piano, this entry could have gone higher but besides this, it is a great song, way better than many entries in this compo, featuring lotsa original sounds. I like it even if it's far from my musical universe.

Congrats !

a deep house intro with atmospheric reverbed and delayed percussion evolves into a basic but quite funky house track.

originality - creative use of synths, and non conventional percussion lift this above a standard deep house track.
theme - deep yet funky is the name of the game for this track. the moody pads and the fx on the percussion give create a brooding atmosphere which is lifted up by the funky bass and double tap hihat. the mood is sustained well throughout the track whilst constantly evolving.
arrangement - is at times quite convoluted with over application of sound effects in some places (the glass smash effect in particular). the evolution from deep house to funky is nicely executed and manages to maintain a coherent feel throughout. the sound can be a little busy at times. especially around 5 mins onwards where there are a lot of melodies all competing for the same space.
technical - a convincing use of vst effects throughout, including less commonly used ones like distortion shows the technical ability of the composer. the percussion is good with decent samples (in particular the double tap hihat) but there isnt a huge amount of variation which would be a benefit. the eqing and compression are subtly but properly applied to the master output and ehance the mix (especially the mid frequencies). there are some very low frequencies which are a symptom of lower quality samples which werent eq'd out. also the clap is in places too dominant in the mix.
quality - overall the quality looks like it should be very high, but the mix could maybe be brighter as it is bottom heavy, the samples on the whole are decent, but using a vst for bass (such as evm bassline) would have been better as it produces a clearer smoother sound.

summary - overall a convincing deep house track with some interesting (and adventurous) additions such as the almost chip sounding melody and the unfortunately overused fx. nonetheless a creative track which remains interesting throughout.
