lol, this is wicked!

The whole track is just great, good work on the samples and vocal's
It's just to bad about the rhythm section, it realy screams for some insane drumloop to spice it up because the drum samples realy miss a certain attack to them.
Also the mix is kinda muddy try to work that out and this will be one insane piece of music a la 'bently rhythm ace'

keep it up!!

This track is full of late 80's early 90's influences imo. It immediately reminded me of a track in a MacGyver episode that dealt with a gang of street bandits. Everytime they did something there would be this electro/disco track (much more simplistic than this one though) looping "Rough boys" or "Tough boys" as the vocal stab in the same manner that "Cool chicks" is looped in this track. That track got on my nerves in the end, and unfortunately the same thing happens with this track. It just gets on my nerves in the end when it loops the same things all the time (albeit in a slightly different configuration often). Also, the quick jumps from one thing to another make this track sound very hectic. It feels as if nothing gets the time to evolve completely. Hate the smurfvoice also.

From the technical point of view, this is a good track. I'm pretty sure some substantial effort must have gone into programming all of this. Things seem to find their places, nothing get's shrouded by other instruments. The only exception as far as clarity goes is that the vocals are hard to understand at points. I'm pretty sure that is intentional where they throw out some weird mambo-jambo, but there are some other instances where I had a hard time understanding what was said because the text was pronounced in such a weird way. The track suffers a bit from being muddy also. It could use something more in the high end. Right now too much of the happenings seems to be concentrated on the area below 1kHz. There might be a bit too much reverb somewhere, which could also be the source of the problem.

Overall, sorry, just too hectic and full of nonsense for me.

Originality: 10
Theme: 8 (if you composed that "rendered stuff")
Arrangement: 8 (same comment here)
Technical: 4 (Sure it sounds nice, but this rendered backtrack really annoys me... and costs you a lot of points)
Quality: 7
Global: 7

Definitely an UFO in this mainly electronic music driven compo.
If it had been fully tracked, it would probably have got 10 or 9 in every aspect of the song. Too bad that this one relies too much on a "rendered" wave file (As you describe it as "rendered", why didn't you enter that backtrack instead).

You know, everyone could have great backtracks by importing existing backtracks. This does not show your tracking skills.

To be true, this is probably one of the hardest entry to review because of how it's done. It's good by itself but hey, this is a tracking compo entry.

Atleast one thing is sure, it's original ! That (overused) te-ch-no vocal mixed with this kind of music that's original, and all your funny vocals too. I like it as music itself... if only this hadn't been a tracking compo...
