Ver transparant sound. Hihats are too much panned to the left. Remains interesting throughout the song due to constant changes & above-average melody quality. Nice drive. Good usage of toms to spice up the drums. Nevertheless very short, which costs points.

The Island by Ampli is kinda prog-rock I guess, it features some nice melody's and chords and it fits quite nicely.
It's just that the sounds are a real turn off, most of the mallet sounds are alright, but the drums and the duh duh vocal is not realy it. Maby you could try browsing the plugin section of MT.org for some nice plugins to use as drums or melody instruments. Try to add some more realism in the track in terms of sounds, because in arrengement it's all quite alright!

Keep it up!

The track feels short and ends a bit abruptly. I think there could easily have been about 1 minute more of material, if for nothing else, then in order to finish the track properly.

The mix is good here. I like the drums especially. They have a good punch too them all the way from the kick to the percussions. I also like the slap-bass that plays for a while in the middle of the track.

I'm not too fond of the, uhm, doo-instrument. On one hand it does give an interesting contrast to the track in a weird way. Personally though, I think I would have selected another instrument. Perhaps a piano or some rhodes.

A solid piece of work, too bad it ends up a bit short.

Some quite nice easy listening piece that is neither really bad nor really good, not really original but not unoriginal. The perfect definition of an average track.

There are some marimba themes & "doo-voice" melodies thare a bit funny but nothing exceptionnal here.
The samples are good & clear, but a bit too light, giving the whole piece a quite unprofessional atmosphere even if it's not bad.
Avergage on arrangeement & technical aspects. Some VST instruments here and there could have spiced the whole track a little bit...

Average. Too average.

My hints to the composer :
- Work your melodies to make them more expressive and catchy / dreamy /... Your theme lacks of "caracter".
- Make your sound impressive ! Basses, pads, Drums... should be powerful.

Also something that I'll probably copy-paste 3 billion times within this reviewing process : NAME YOUR TRACKS ! This would give your audiance and us judges a better view of how your track is built, will help newbies to learn how to use MT and to beat you in next year's compo :)
