Song 21, the title reminded me of a track by blur ( song 2 ).
But this track realy ain't nothing simalar to the whole blur thing.
The Original?
i can hear a lot of influences in this track, one that keeps popping thru is basement jaxx, wich is not bad, maby it's because the sample... ;)
But it realy combines all the elements to a whole new plain, the plain of club-techno-dub.
this track realy has stuff you don't expect out of madtracker.
Whoa! did I see a theme flying by?
A theme hmmm...
Is that realy neccisary in a track?
Well I guess it is.
But simple is more efficient Thomas Marx must have thought.
It's realy simple, nothing special but that is not the point in the genre.
4/4
Well this is a dancy club track that will make you dance, the beat is simple and leaves alot of room for the other 'noises' that Thomas puts thru the mix, it realy fits.
Filter here we go!
Well the filter is used alot in this track and the automation is used just as mutch to controll it, so the features used are great, it realy is an madtracker only track that isn't from an other tracker, one can hear the madtracker sound.
Quality
The samples are of good quality, but I miss some sparkling, almost as if mr.Marx cut all the high-freqs.
But it gives an relaxed feel to the whole mix.
With the use of the filer alot of 'different' sounds are created, realy neat!
The Conclusion
This one realy is an dance floor track, that will make people dance i'm shure.
Well keep us supprised with new tracks.

Song 21 is probably one of those tracks that you really enjoy to hear at 5 am after an intense techno party. Real laidback pleasure this song provides, on a rather sophisticated manner. Positive about this song is the nice, real deephouse atmosphere which is created, the choice and quality of the instruments and the originality.
But there are also some negative points. Around 2.00 a voice comes in the song, but it sounds like a dj is in the middle of a mix. The voice is either introduced unnatural into the song, or the voice just doesn't fit the song. I think it's the first one; the voice gets faded in on the same speed, which is almost analogue as a mix. The song remains interesting due to a nice structure (although I strongly got the idea that I heard Basement Jaxx's 'rendez-vu' at 3.20, which isn't that original!). At 4.16 the song 'restarts', which shows how nice the voice and the song can fit. There's a minute of pure quality time, although the voice seems to be too harsh for this song. At 5.20 a sweeping climax is introduced, something that isn't suitable for the rest of the laidback-atmosphere of the song. The end, with strings, isn't fluid enough; let the strings fade in & out eachother as some sort of organic soundscape, and not this sudden.
Overall a nice track, especially when looking which genre has been used and who the enviroment has been created, but due to some negative points it stays rather average...pity!
