The tutor of the mt-masses also appears in this compo. I must say it builds certain expectations, and those I had were fulfilled. Beatmax has programmed good chords, and shows he has the ability to make a good sounding song when looking at choice of instruments, technique, mix & atmosphere. This trance song sounds overall nice, but misses some things to give the listener a real good feeling about it. The major problem is the tempo; due to the slowness of the song it really misses the drive & power it needs. The choice of instruments is also on the sweet side; the leadsynth should be more aggresive, the chords are rather happy and the structure isn't sensational. The speech in it is functional, but doesn't sounds sharp and the english seems to be pronounced badly. No world class sample, but surely it gives the song what it needs when looking at atmosphere/identity. Overall a pro-sounding song, but due to speed, samplechoice and chords a rather flat track To the artist; make a more powerfull version of this song. Make it faster, shape the structure to it, give the leadsynth more drive by making it lower & more phat and use more variations in the song. For instance, use a electro-808 lookalike in the bridges at 1.50 & 4.10 to build up greater diversity in the song.
