If it gets worse than this, then I will stop reviewing. The song is build up on a leadsynth which is detuned and some other instruments which all sounded like everything I heard 10 years ago in melontracker and really don't fit eachother. At 1.35 some sort of choir comes in, which follows a complete other melody than the rest of the song. Then suddenly there's a complete song change where Efreet 9000 tries to get the most distortion at as much channels as possible, resulting in a dramatic hardcore sound with no perspective or potential. It all sounds like the whole song consists out of a bassdrum & a lead sawsynth. Overall a track with terrible instruments, terrible melodies, a terrible mix, terrible structure and terrible atmosphere (if any). To the artist; if you are new with tracking, than I hope this review won't stop you in your way to learn to use the program and make music. As you will understand, I review songs in relation with everything that is offered in this compo, and then this is the worst song. As I said before, everyone starts out terribly (somewhere in beatmax's tutorial there's the functional tip for beginners that you should never ever release your first 5 songs, because they suck. Mine did atleast. If you have more experience with music & the program and only can make this, than you have or a major deficiency talking about musical skills, or a horrible taste...but that's almost the same.
