Ah-oh-ah! Special feeling in this house-sounding tune. Cool tribal-loop on track 3, which hangs tight almost the whole song. Not much melody, but I guess these kind of song doesn't need any melody. Could need some more variation, but with loud volume in the speakers and perhaps a beer in your hand, this works fine to get you chilled out.

Excellent song here in this field of melodic trance. Velvet waves is a very strong & professional club track which wouldn't fall out of line in a dj-set; first thing which came in mind are the ronald molendijk sessions in nighttown, but for not-dutch this will be a poor comparison.
The overall sound is balanced, full, professional and not overdone. The choice of instruments, and the mutual relation between them, is very good, and the effects & techniques are superb for the song. During these 7 minutes the listener stays attracted due to unexpected structures, a fine atmosphere, little variations in melody, beats and sample usage.
Negative is the length; I understand that this is a dj friendly version, but for a compo it's not that convient. After the bridge (5.00) it probably would be okay to add little melodies ore oneshots to keep the last 2 minutes also attractive for the listener who hears the whole song.
Overall a very good track which I would really like to dance on!

Although this is repetitive, it is very relaxing and pleasant to hear. The mix is good.
