A minimalistic track, pretty chilled. It also shows that you don't always need alot of effects and samples etc to build up a nice atmosphere.
The drums are a bit tricky, in a nice way. One thing they could have used though was a bit better use of the stereofield. Placing similar midrange samples into different channels does amazingly much to the depth of the tune, something worth considering in this case I think. To some extent panning has been utilitized on the drums, I'm just saying it could be more.
The use of the reverb pluging in this tune is a bit off. It only seems to clutter the soundfield more than it enhances it. Only place I feel it's motivated is on the clap, where it's used to give it the same wet sound as the claplike sound in the drumloop. Other than that, I can't hear any use of it.
I don't know what more to say, I like the chillfactor of this tune. It's relaxing :)

Ideal song for a video game in the greatings ending page.
Except this point the whole tune is very classical, well done but not very exciting.
Anyway, it deserves more than just a medium rating. |

Free Repeater by Joseph Goeller,
Some real neat elecronica here, if I had to compair it it probably be Aphex twin and Boards of Canada mixed together.
You've done a great job on the beats, not repetive in any way due to the use of several FX hits and variations in the patterns, also the to feed an Analog Filter Channel thru a distorion channel to another Analog Filter channel is something I never saw before, and it gives this wicked sound to the synth, great job!
Your mix is good, but personaly I would give the synth ( on Ch1 ) a bit reverb to put the sound just alitlle bit 'in' the mix, but the rest just sounds great!
Another thing that makes this track great is the use of the master fader, in some passages it go's down, to later come up again and give more power to an more active passage.
I must say, this is a great entry!
Keep it up! |

Electronics... Rather interesting track, but very primitive and as a matter of fact and on realization. Probably time of style by Craftwerke not so especially is actual... Probably years through 10... |
