A loungy house tune this one. But repetitive, pretty much so even. And it has a bit of this "I've heard it before" feeling.

The tune could need more to fill it out. It sounds very empty. Some effects here and there wouldn't hurt. I was also very much dissapointed to see that the drums where completely based on a premade loop, and judging on the vay the rest of the track is made, I draw the conclusion that it wasn't even homemade. Big minus in my book, because the loop in question isn't even that hard to make yourself. You'd need 4 maybe, 5 tracks to do it.

Some more work could have been layn down on the samples. A bit of normalizing would have rendered at least some of the duplicate tracks useless. Even now I had to take the gain down in MT because the sound clipped in my speakers. Using some of Madtrackers track effects could have left out even more tracks, and given better control on the volume level. For instance, using a distortion filter on the drumloop, you could have used it as a gain, rendering two of the three drumtracks useless.

Everything is more or less dead center, some panning is given by the use of stereo delay. More panning would give the tune much more depth and width.

The idea behind the tune is not bad. In fact I kind of like it. A simple structure and a pretty nice groove speak in favour of this tune. But it simply needs more. More variation in the drums (another reason not to use pre-made drumloops), more fx, breaks from the lead melody etc. My suggestion, download mods/tunes made by other artists (preferably some that have had good reviews so you know they're not full of shit), check them out, see how things are solved using various effects, experiment yourself.

Minor / Major and do it again...
That's not the way I like my ears to beat.
Jazzy? Ok, good rating for the try.

At a promising beginning (as in any way, my favourite style) is not present development of a theme and in a result very monotonous track has turned out. Quality of data of a sound and quality samples should be more best.
