| The idea is pretty nice. A breakbeatish tune, pretty heavily loop based unfortunately. It's sad that the samples are of such low quality. Although they're all of aproximately the same quality, it's clearly audible that they're not of high quality. Better sample quality could have done alot for the tune. It's sounds pretty muddy as it is now, and I think a reason for this is the low sample quality. It doesn't have that crisp edge to give things more definition. It's like the whole tune was filtered through a low-pass filter, cutting off most stuff above 7Khz The beat is nice, would have been even nicer if it would have been homemade ;) Pretty basic drumloops used, but the way they're arranged makes them somewhat interesting anyway. This tune gets a bit boring after a while. It could have used more variation to the lead melody. Or more fx to spice things up. In general the tune sounds a bit unfinished. For instance I'm wondering what that initial 4 by 4 drumbeat is doing there, since the rest of the tune runs on a breakbeat. Could have been better to introduce the song with that breakbeat right away. Some volume levels where a bit off also IMO. In the end particulary, when those sweeping pads/synths enter, instr. 12 for instance (at aprox. 3:30). They sound to be of much higher volume the the rest of the instruments. | |||||||||||

I like this song, you have a good theme, agressive, catchy style. Also, you know what sounds work. This is much better than most of the stuff "out there". For a higher grade I would have wanted a stronger subtheme and ending, hold back on the feedback/delay sound at some point during the song so it does not drown inside itself. If I were to remix this song, I would play with the distortion, and analogue filters w/ automation. But those are all just details, great tune. Hope you found my reviue adaquate. Thanks | |||||||||||
