8. Obtaining VST plugin information

Since VST plugins are not saved inside an .MT2 file, you sometimes will have songs that need certain plugins that are not installed on your computer. Via a special web-based database, MadTracker can provide additional information about the VST plugins that you're missing (such as the download location or price). Once a missing VST plugin is detected after loading an .MT2 song, MadTracker will automatically notify you of this. Double-clicking on the name of the missing VST plugin will result in a search for more information.

Some plugins will contain no information at the moment. A specific Google query will be proposed, and a request for information on the plugin will be send to the database maintainers immediately.
