If you're trying 24 09XX or 24 01XX, I'm afraid it will only reverse indeed. Wink
FT effects are 00 09XX and 00 01XX.

Though there is still a chance to make offset (or better to say "jump") in samples played reversed. Just start playing it with 24 0000 and go to the point where you want to have the "offset" and put the 90 xxyy command, where:

Quote:
90 XXYY Set sync. offset

If the sample is synchronized:

X Got to beat X
Y Offset in the beat (in Y/256: 0 = begin of the beat; 80 = middle of the beat; FF = nearly the end of the beat)
Else:
X Divide sample in X parts
Y Go to division Y

- MadTracker Help

90 xxyy is way more flexible than 9xx and unlike 9xx it has an effect even on a sample started playing earlier in the track...

hope any of these make sense Very Happy

yay, never thought of trying that, and think of all the times I've been so frustrated because of not being able to do this.
thanks

--- -- -- 90 0a06
