There is no challenge in beating the most sucking format in the world. Unless you are trying to suck even more. |

Ok...
so what music styles and genres are hot in france? Just in case you happen to release any of our tunes.
plus i would like to try to be creative in a certain direction. being a producer is my goal.
(by Hot, i mean what is played on the radio at number 1.) |

Pop/Rock is out now, but R&B stuff is hot hot hot !
Stuff like Jamelia, Britney, Destiny's child, J-Lo...
In summer, some weird dance stuff (Like O-Zone) can make it too.
A small excerpt of one of the R&B songs I'm currently working on with another guy from my area can be found here
Besides this, here are 30 seconds streams from a french iTunes alike site that reflect quite well what is "hype" nowadays (this doesn't mean they are all good...not at all !)
- Star academy - "En chantant" A (very popular) musical reality TV covering a classic "variété" song.
- Emmanuel Moire - "Etre à la hauteur" (from a musical...the guy singing is supposed to play the role of Louis XIV, King of france in the XVIIth century...wow, I didn't know they had such kind of music back then !)
- Nadyia - "Si loin de vous" (So far from you). Probably one of the best ever french R&B songs.
- "Hey oh" and Gentelman" Two #1 chart hits from THE 2003-2004 R&B sensation "Tragédie" (some make fun of their band name by claiming their music being #1 is a real tragedy for quality music lovers )
- Garou & Sardou - "La rivière de notre enfance" (The river of our childhood). contains almost all the clichés of the classic "Variété française" that is becoming more and more hype again.
- Corneille - "Parce qu'on vient de loin" (Because we come from far away). "R&Pop" music - the song that got the most airplay in France in 2004
So as you can see, we're not better than anywhere else...
Good luck !

It can (it's still a better to), but it must not. |

Hehe, that is me. You do realize it's a cover right (i'm surprised so little people know this song). I can give you the acapella, but the drums are live so don't know how well in sync they'll be. I'll pm you. |
what is hip?

Everyone had them. We've got 3 seasons of Popstars here, and except the first one, all flopped. |
