The first track:
Definetly like the bassline. Has a sort of eery feel to it, good sample selection. The drums well, they're typical D'n'B, have a good driving force. The synths stabs sound a bit missplaced and they don't add that much to the track.
Overall I think you've relied too much on the sampled vocals, which in turn are too much of a direct copy from the movie itself. You may want to get some more FX things going them. Try to change the sound of the vocals, not just add delays and echoes.
The second track:
the kick is cool, has a really good punch IMO. Same with the snare. Good selection. There is however not enough going on with the drums IMO. Only the basskick seems to do some variations.
The bassline in this track on the other hand is a bit weak, especially compared to the one in the first track. Overall also this track is less organised somehow. It sounds more like a collection of "cool" samples then a thought through process.
Out of the two, I definetly like the first track better. The second track just sounds forced somehow, like you've thought "I have these two movies with some cool lines and it would be a really cool idea to make a track for each movie, but I have no real ideas for the second so I'll just force something togheter quickly and...". Hope you get my drift |

I also listened the first two tracks, but they didn't do me much good. I'm not fond of jump-up drum 'n bass (I hate Zinc & Ganja Kru and alike), but these tracks are also too fragmented. There's no real roller-style beat or hard-pushing bassline, but just vocal snippets, wobbling basslines and rather dull beats.
Sorry to be harsh, but my perception has a hard time lieing. I advice you to analyze 'released' drum 'n bass tunes, and see where their magic comes from. Furthermore, keep in mind that drum 'n bass should make your head nod, and not create spastic movements.

Shit. I knew this one would backfire. Yes, it looks that way, but nevertheless drum 'n bass (in my most humble and inferior opinion) should have one distinct rhythm, but then worked out via non-linear beat programming. It's like hard pounding acid techno, but then without the distinct linear bassdrum.
Just to examplify: Autechre's recent works results in spastic movements, and also breakcore (Bong-Ra, Hellfish, ATR) has this distinct non-continuous-tempo thing. That's what I mean with spastic rhythms. No offence by the way: I love Autechre & Bong-Ra.

Yes, i did expect that people would find my first two track's, are not the every day Drum & Bass. Compared to well known producer's they's are far from it, i do realize, All these’s track's were made quite early in my tracking experience. (Lerning stage's)
I am spending more time on my track's (Not rushing them now).
all the comment's, all the better. I need feed back,
Friend's can be too kind, which is a help too my confidence, but not for my music making.
I do respect your reply ''Inge'' Your ''harshness'' dose help me, So don't be sorry |

Hey polley...
I´ve listened to all of your tracks. They are not to bad as you might think. .
What i miss in your tracks is a kind of story. A begin, a main and an end. They start at 100% and suddenly stop. They should be
a little bit more well balanced. Sometimes you exaggerate a little bit, for example in the first tune, the speech samples. The track is a little bit overloaded with it. All in all you should keep on tracking a little bit more sorted. I like "Caffeine will kill ya" which is, in my opinion the best of the seven tracks. |

One small note: the main melody (and bassline) of Cafeine will kill ya is rather similar to DJ Jean - The Launch. It seems not the best plan to make an almost 100% copy of such a well-known tune.

Well I did not know that Caffeine Will Kill Ya was so much the same as DJ Jean - The Launch.
I have Downloaded DJ Jean - The Launch and listen too it, and yes I do agree with you it does sound very similar.
It was not my intention to copy or remix DJ Jean - The Launch in any way
Thank's for picking that up for me Inge.
I am not looking for fame or to sell my music, I only make music for my pleasure and other people’s pleasure. |

Don't worry about it. If it was accidental, then it prooves that you have a good feeling for melody.
