Also, if there were an accompanying guide to what was done and why to the tracks, that would be very nice.

There are tons and tons of guides out there on the web, read them, use them and learn by hearing what the different things do...
Oh and atlantis, when you publish your way of working with mastering here it won't mean that you'll get less clients, think of it, I don't have the bucks to get my tracks mastered and with me a load of other people , so your clients won't be coming from MT.org. And your 'guide' would not include the gear that you use to master ( many $ costing equipment and stuff ), so if people try your tips they go out and use the same crappy Cool Edit effects as they always used, just in a different way, resulting in a probably better sound. But it won't match up to a prof. masterd track with expensive stuff...

Well, that's very true. I actually think it's the engineer more than the equipment, but still... Well, I'll think about it. It's still quite a while away yet anyway. |

It's all good, whatever you choose, atlantis. We thank you anyway!
qbical: I know... The funny thing with this guide would be that it's done with MT tracks. |

I'll make the new prizes official:
Atlantis is offering the mastering of the top 3. And to better hear the mastered result, I added some AKG headphones to the prizes list.

I also added a little note that says you can still use samples and that you don't have to use VST plugins. Just to make things clearer.

Feel free to do so. You keep all your rights on your music after you submit it to the compo.

The rules say, "no copyrighted material" - does that include breakbeat samples from other songs? |
