percussions and drum samples, as long as it's not a melodic sample I guess it's ok. it is a percussion compo after all looks like the compo is focusing on rhythm.
|
Any kind of NON MUSICAL PERCUSION SAMPLES??
let's see...
·loops are allowed?? (percusion loops, no musical)
·are VSTeffects plug-ins allowed??
·is there a time limit??
·are allow not free samples??
·appart from MP3, MT2 is allowed??
nothing else...

Okay
let's see:
- yes, loops are allowed, but please note that in the end, the rhythmical creativity will be judged. So if you just layer some loops - that won't bring you such a high score.
- yes, VST is allowed, as long as you don't denaturate the sounds that much. So basically you can use your reverb and delay and eq and distort and compression and stuff like that.
- time limit.. well, if you mean the lenght of your entry, it can be whatever, there's no limit. But the entry deadline is the 30th of june.
- you can use all sorts of samples. be they free, ripped, stolen, handcrafted, I don't care.
- yes, well mp3 would be preffered, because alot of people are going to download your track and if they don't have Madtracker, they won't go to download and install a software to play your track. Everybody can play mp3. You get the drift!
Cheers mate! |

Well, there are 4 entries to date, and on popular demand, I've extended the deadline until the 3rd of July. So that's Sunday the last day to enter the compo.
