woot woot. im on a roll here. Im finishing all my old songs lately. and the only way im doing that is being less picky to be honest.
oh yah. heres the song before i rant.
It's Time to Move Up
I realized that i seemed to be in a pattern of never finishing songs. and the only time i did was when i was in that creative moment... this song was one of those and i called it done for a long time, but never released it because i knew it wasnt. after a bit more work i decided it was REALLY ready.
i just needed to stop being so picky with everything, as it was only preventing me from getting things done, after all, a song that sounds ok, and is done, is better than the 'perfect' song that never does.
so enjoy. tell me what you think. peace. |

like the vocal, and the tune. the backing is really thin though. the kick/bass combo has very little power and the vocal is too loud in the mix. very nice other than that. maybe you could release the vocal so we could have a go at remixing |

haha. i kept turning the vocal down, but i forgot about the automation. duh. oh well. thanks for the feedback. i will fix the vox for the release. and i will post the vox shortly
sorry the vox have to be mp3, because i dont have enough space on my webspace
p.s. the drums and minimal backing was what i was going for. i was trying to make an electro/minimal/chill dance thing. but. i thought it was pretty powerful during the choruses, esp the last.
what makes a kick bass combo powerful?
haha. now that i listen to it acapella, the harmonizing chorus hook goes waaaay out of tune. haha.
OK
