I'd rather use 256kbps OGG files which are more than enough for listening purposes. Conversion from OGG to MP3 can still be made afterwards.

Then it should be encoded from a 24 bit master. That way, you still can make advantage of dithering (and compressors if desired) when converting them to CDDA.

The last 3 compo entries take a rough 1.7 GB of data.

They really should be on the DVD, I'd say. And also including the mini compos and the chainsongs is not that much extra space, isn't it? All 95 tracks in Ogg Vorbis should take less then 1 GB. And there should be plenty of space left for instuments and VSTs even if the aim is a DVD-5. |

I have one very user friendly suggestion, I think:

It would be nice if the VSTs are categorized into "free" which are those without any restrictions (not even requested fees for selling your work) and "cripled", which includes time limits, ocasional popup reminders, random noise generation etc.

Of course, there might be sub categories like "instuments", "dsp effects" and "mastering tools" for example. |

I have many CDs and just a few of them have original covers. To create covers for other ones I use this cd label printing software. |
