 |
hey hey
i'm looking for some Sennheiser online retailers from which i could buy some HD25 headphones and get them shipped to australia. i've been to most google-advertised dj stores, but i know there are plenty of ones that don't advertise and keep it on the down low.. can anyone help me out?
the reason why i look to buy this from the internet is because it will save me approximately $150AUD. which is a fair bit compared to what i earn (that being diddly squat! )
any help and pointers appreciated..
also, has anyone tested these phones out? i'm curious as to whether or not they sound natural like most studio sennheiser headphones do..
cheers!

Well, Sennheiser say the HD25 can be used for Studio monitoring, but if studio monitoring is all you're going to do with them I'd look at something else. On my head at least (the few times I've used a pair of these) they didn't feel very comfortable. About the sound, it's hard for me to judge because I've only used them outdoors in noisy enviroments
As always the recommendation is to go to a store and try them out before you buy |

i'm not just going to use them for monitoring, but for cueing while DJing at clubs too. i've found many DJs swear by these as loud and sound great - compared to all other DJ headphones they seem to be the leader.
but i've found they cost too much here in australia, so i'm trying to import them. there are some great german websites that sell DJ gear for a decent price, but sadly i don't know how to speak german enough to go through with purchasing hehe..

I don't think I'd buy headphones on eBay, unless the seller can guarantee that the phones haven't been used for DJin. I suspect the speakerelements get a pretty good beating in that enviroment |

i found on ebay a set of HD25's for a handsome price, from a retail shop who just advertised on ebay their last set of (NEW - in box and all!) HD25s that were going out on clearence..
now i'm waiting for them to be shipped thanks for your input guys!
