 |
Yesterday me and lonestar discused about a new mtchain (part3 ) And both me and him have the time to organize it so....
We decided:
- Vst is not allowed, why? Simple, vst is just to new for most of the mt2 users, I gues part 4 will allow some vst's so don't worry.
- When then song is completed, everyone is asked to make a final mixdown of the song, which we be an mp3. Yes vst is then allowed ofcourse
The particapants of the chain will then vote for the best mp3. This one will be, if Yannick aproves ofcourse, used for the promotion of mt2, Putting the track on all tracker pages we "all" now. (that includes you ofcourse
We ask from you:
- Ideas regarding rules of the song (keep them a bit simple if you can
- Webspace to host the tracks (not sure if needed)
- Wanna join? Then speak out on this topic or send me a mail: mixat013@yahoo.com
- any other suggestions idea's are welcome
Remember we need you to make this work, this requers a lot of organisation so if you would like to be a part of the organistion please speak up!
Ok we set the snowball rolling, it's depends to you all how big it's gonna get
Can't wait to get started,

1: Webhosting hereby offered. Don't worry about the amount of it, since it will be on mt.net
2: If the chain is still active in july, then I'll participate (which will be my first serious musical activity in exactly a year, so that would be quite symbolic )
3: About ideas: let it evolve without pre-manufactured concepts. What's more important: e-mail your favourite mt-producers, and ask them to participate. There are quite a few 'silent' MT users that might be interested in participating. Yannick will surely find this idea appealing, so placing it frontpage on mt.org won't be a problem.
4: And thumbs up for the effort. Looking forward to hear another great product as the previous versions.

As Factor said: that's the main reason to participate. Blending, crossing borders, and new concepts/approaches/ideas on conventional styles and ideas are the best way to create something unique. Better participate with your boem-tik-tik bubbling

MadTracker chain 2002 can be found at
http://quinone.madtracker.net/mt2/mtchain2002.rar
If someone has the other two (or one) in a full version, please contact me via inge@madtracker.org. I would like to have all full versions, but I'm not sure if I have them. If I got them, then I'll place them online for further inspiration
Edit: I have the chainsong from september 2003, but my version goes until Qbical (pattern 43/45 - 23.09.03). Is that the official ending?

If the filename's anything like "madchainding_mikx2" (Mikx was the last person to edit it, but QBical's piece = end), then yes.
The final piece of info reads:
45-47 (23.09.03) qbical
+edit: http://mikx.madtracker.net/madchainding_mikx2.rar
That was the last known link to its location.
+edit_3: Thanks to Mikx, it lives once again! :end_edit_3+
+edit_2: By the way, I'm all for this new MadChain song. I've got more than enough time to spare. |

And the virtual snowball is growing and growing
Nice to see so much intrest in this project at such a short time, can only say that I'm looking forward to cooperate with such motivated people
Ok back to reality, first of all I wish to thank Inge for his good Ideas and the possible, unlimited webspace he is offering to us all
And like you said Inge, we need to contact those silent users. (like, andy, enigmatic, myztique, feeble brain, BuD, etc, (guys if you now them or someone else, invite them in for this little party )
I want this chain to be the biggest one ever done on the net if posible (yeah right ) Well ehmm the biggest mt chain would be nice to I gues . Fun is the most inportant "Factor"
Ok, Most dificult thing are the rules.
I beleave that although there must be some sort of disapline there should be enough freedom for each artist to get his style in the track, while that being the main goal in the first place.
So how do we combine freedom with disapline?
Your call
