Have anyone seen Matrix 2 yet? I saw it yesterday, and hell, what a mind blasting trip it was! Quite strange end though, but that's why there's a sequal! It's fucking recommended!
I can't help to imagine how expensive the fighting scene with those 100 Mr.Smiths figthing Neo must've been! haha!
Well go and see it now, lads!

*GASP* I know!
It's a great movie!! I saw it last Saturday, and WOW!
The first movie was made with around $65 million.
The second movie was made with almost $325 million!
The 100 Agent Smiths scene was *almost* completely computer generated. It was fuggin` awesome!
They truely have mastered the art of bullet-time film. And you'll never expect the ending. I'm not giving it away!!
Can't wait `til November. That's when The Matrix Revolutions comes out!
Out of 10, I give it:
That's right! 15! 15 out of 10! |

I've seen it also, I really like the fighting scenes and all the special effects, but the story is definately less good than in the Matrix 1. I would really recommend it, though, if only for the fighting scenes. The end was a bit predictable I think. Some more friends of mine were also disappointed about the end, but the fighting scenes were good enough to rate the movie Very Good. |

Ya huh. Why else would they have $325 million to make the movie? They bought a whole new special effects system and everything. And they had 12 stunt guys in that fight scene too!
It makes me wonder... How will they top the special effects in the next movie? |

like said, the story wasn't so good. Fights were good, most of the time. Agent Smith was cool as usual (really like his character, always takes it easy ) The scene where Neo fights the Smith army was a bit dragged out imo. After three minutes, when it was evident there where quite a bunch of Smiths running in, I guessed what trick Neo would use to get out of the jam, as did my friend. But still the fighting went on for another 10 minutes or so...
The truck scenes where cool, especially liked the camera chases that went under and over trucks and cars. Seeing that on a 30m theather screen was an experience The end maybe was a bit dissapointing maybe, but on the other hand, it was an end that guaranteed that one will see number 3 also |

Did it just come out over there or something? its been out for like 3 weeks over here....
Hrmm. apparently about 5000 still shots of smith's (australia's own hugo weaving) face was taken from different angles to get his face and emotions perfectly replicated onto a 3d model.
The Highway scene was completely computer generated.. none of the cars or trucks were real.(hence the ability for the "camera" to go underneath. It was a 2 km stretch of freeway that was built in Sydney..specifically for the matrix, because they couldnt shut down Sydney's traffic for long enough to film it.
I thought there were some un-nescessary scenes, that made the film too long.
IE: they stayed in zion too long. Morpheous got weird
with his really wanky speach. That zion rave thing went for way to fucken long and it was shit.
The fight scenes were awesome, best effects yet, the story dragged a bit.. too much explaining of what happened just after it happened.. no mystery like the first one. The rest of the movie after the highway scene, was really confusing and rushed. maybe the architect should speak english.. although I have found a really good transcript and interpretation on the net.
Overall, it was a high standard for a sequal, not quite as good as Empire strikes back as a sequal.. but it works.. some wanky bits but they are made up for.
cant wait for revolutions.. saw the trailer after the end credits at the cinema.. oohhh looks good |

*GASP FOR THE THIRD TIME* They showed the trailer?
Aw... Damn it... I can't believe I didn't stay for that...
I knew I would miss something, regardless of coming into the movies early for once!
But your information on the highway car scene suprised me! Not the 'making-their-own-highway' bit, I knew about that. I didn't think it was completely computer generated! I just thought it was great stunt-driver work
I must agree on the Zion rave. Too long. And, just my opinions, but a sex scene wasn't needed. I'm suprised that my little brother and sister weren't made sick because of that. I wouldn't have thought much of it if the Noosa Cinemas had popcorn... That was a real downer... What's a cinema if there's no popcorn?! At least I had a large frozen coke to rely on.
I guess I'll just have to download the third trailer. Then wait for November, because The Matrix Revolutions comes out then!! |

agree, the sex scene was a bit useless. But I was not surprised they had one in this movie, since the tension was there in the first movie allready, and it seems all good quality hollywood movies must have at least one scene where the actors have no clothes on |

btw. I wonder what the public reaction would have been if Neo would have turned out to be gay and gone to bed with Morpheus instead, or perhaps with that winer that was a huge Neo fan and wanted to join the crew Now that would have been a unexpected shift in the storyline |
