new color scheme for MadTracker

Hey
I was bored, so i've made a new color scheme. Unfortunately it's not possible to share it with others. Colors are saved in registry.

I hope you like it Smile Anyway it doesn't matter if I can't give it to you Smile

  • Save the scheme in MT and give it a name
  • Open the registry editor (regedit.exe)
  • Select to the following key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Madhouse\MadTracker\Colors
  • Menu -> Registry -> Export file
  • Select a new file name, make sure "Selected key/branch" is checked and save
  • Open the generated file in Notepad (Right-click on it in the Explorer and click "Modify"
  • Remove the @= part
  • Remove the "Somename"= parts except the one containing your scheme data
  • Save the file
  • Spread it!

And to install the color scheme, simply double-click on it.

This is a somewhat painful process, but if more want to swap their color themes, I can make a built-in function for that purpouse.

Hi Yannick, I think it would be a nice thing to be able to load color schemes Smile

So how do I retrieve the original one? Can't you also post your reg file here?

Oh, why not? We could do a theming contest, and bundle the best themes with any upgrade of MadTracker.

My flaw. I thought that the new .reg file would automatically discard all other colour themes, and didn't realize that it would just add itself to the existing themes. It indeed looks very nice!

I can't get the color change to work.
I get this message saying it is not a registry script.

I just realized what I did!
I opened the link in Notepad and saved to hard drive instead of downloading the file directly to the hard drive.
It works now.
