===========================
STOP SCROLLING, READ!

All the 87 entries on this list have one thing in common, they don't have a rating and no review. Some are new, others are from before Yannick decided to date the entries. Ancient in other words.

Now why am I posting this list? Simple, it seems a bit sad to me that over 50% of the entries in the music section don't have a review, not even a small one! Sad

So let's make a group effort and get that percentage down some, preferably down to 0%. Remember, you don't have to be a pro-writer just to write a review. All that it takes is for you to listen to the tune and give your constructive opinion on it. Besides, as long as you don't talk total bullshit, nobody's going to hunt you down for saying something wrong, or for missing a point. As long as you stick to what you believe is right and you stay as objective and diplomatic as possible you'll be fine. If everyone chips in with a couple of reviews we'd have that list down to under 5% in a week or two. Now wouldn't that be a vision... Wink

So GET REVIEWING! Cool

Ummh.. Well, to tell you the truth, to this point I have mostly downloaded songs which already do have some review, good or bad, mostly to see if I agree/disagree with it.
Maybe I'll start downloading others too but writing a review myself, well ummh.. Since it has to be constructive, I'm not sure if I'm able to write anything very constructive about some trance track or such. I have written a review or two, can't remember what they said though.
There also seems to be a problem with dead links, there seems to be quite a lot of them which isn't nice. Some of the genres are bit mixed up too. Most weird one is the "curve" under "rock" section, which actually is then said to be psychedelic techno. Laughing

Nice work compiling the list though, and good idea too. I'll see what I can do but probably not very much Very Happy

Hehehe my song is in the end...

Well, it's easier to send feedback via mail, altrough it's bad NOT to review...

Well, Sunbuster, what about making some reviews yourself?

I think Sunbuster made more reviews than you could think of. Wink

Sunbuster: would you be interested into accepting/rejecting incoming reviews for the music page?

well, Vile, if you go through a couple of the reviews there, I'm sure you'll find my name on quite a few of them, especially if you check the trance section Wink

A couple of examples:

Nima76 - Nightwalk
mikx - Little Things (mikx Re-mikx)
mikx - Under the glacier
Quinone - Morpheus
Quinone - Renesse's Revenge
T.J.C - Mystic
Synop - Conquest (rm1x)
nathan - dnb experiment 4 (unnamed)
Bullrat - I_miss_K
QBical - The Lake
QBical - Little things
QBical - Stages in life
Future Tribe - Stargaze (Extended)

And you can rest assure that I'll be doing reviews in the future also. I just wish more people would do them. Then maybe every track would have a chance of getting several reviews, or at least one. As it is now, I only download and review tracks that don't have a review yet, because I think it's unfair that some tracks get lots of reviews and others get none. But still there are so many tracks that don't have a single review... Rolling Eyes

vfgdfg: There are some rock/hard rock/metal tunes on that list also Wink I can perfectly understand why you wouldn't want to review a genre you're not so familiar with, not my favourite hobby either Smile
The dead links are a shame, I totally agree with you on that. I'm going to go through all the tracks there (at least the ones with no review), and check for dead links. I'll make a list of those and mail them to Yannick (or maybe Inge can handle that these days), then hopefully the dead links will be removed.

There's a slight delay at the moment between the review posting and actually publishing it. If Sunbuster would be so kind as to become review editor, things will speed up tremendously. Thanks eitherway for the effort: if the review met the (written) expectations of being helpfull and constructive, it surely will be published.

Kind regards, and let's get this review thing going!

Inge
