Go for OGG instead Smile ..

Anyway, just one thought, does this mean that all players that have MP3-decoding actually have to, to stay legal, pay licenses to the original developers of the MP3 concept? Like Winamp and Deliplayer ?...

But hey, just came up with a thought. To be able to import MP3-files you need to be able to encode them too, right? Since otherwise they will be saved uncompressed anyway...? hmm.

How come some wav->mp3 and mp3->wav converters are completely free, like CDex? (that uses lame)?

On another topic... I've got some acapellas and would like to work out a song round them. Problem is, madtracker is not really suited for it. You could cut it up in a million pieces, but it's very cumbersome.

Excuse me, but WHAT THE FARK!? I need a better way. Is there one besides the obvious one (using another soft)?

The main reason is that - if I want to stay legal - I would have to increase drastically the price of MT2 to cover the cost of a MP3-decoder license (which is very expensive).

You can stay legal and offer compressed files decoding by including .OGG rather than .MP3 support. It would be very cool if we could load (and save) our samples in .OGG formats

Big modules are cool, but when your tracks grow 30 megs large (without the vocals), it's an option that could be quite handy...

About CPU wasting : The samples could be decoded when the module is loaded and then stored uncompressed in the computer's memory.
