qbical: i'm a little worried about what you said regarding the bassdrum. it's already been compressed and i chained it to the bassline compressor too, so they don't really overlap much, but because i have some pretty crap speakers, i wasn't sure if it's as punchy as i want it to be... does it drag a lot? too much low frequencies? i didn't really do any mastering on it cause i suck at mastering (lack of quality speakers makes one major reason for this). but if you can give me any tips on boosting or reducing certain frequencies i'll do it and see how that works out. i need this tune to have pretty decent sound as i'm planning to play it on sunday night at the club. so i guess it has to sound good on a loud sound system..
[/quote]
Well, I to have some crappy speakers but when I compare 'pro-mastered' tracks with yours the bass ( as in low freq ) realy stands out, maby cut the freq's below 30 or 50 to make a tighter low end. But then again the bssline realy profits form this sub bom bom bom as inge said, it's just the kick that needs a bit tightening up
But try it out in the club, it always sounds better there and you can always update it afterwards...
BTW: that low sax line just ROCKS!!

I love it, it's really a hilarious tune you got there mixk
but I agree on the kick and also the bass feels a bit static
I wonder what that mind of yours will show us next time |

Seeing as how Amimal's drum solos could be spontaneous, you could basically fit it in anywhere in the tune. Just stick a couple of solos by the strange muppet in there anywhere you feel like. that would be AWESOME |

qbical: thanks man. i checked it out at the club, which had a really awesome soundsystem, and turns out that it just had too much low end. i lowered the 50-80hz range and raised the 120-150 (more or less) range by a tiny bit.. hopefully it sounds better, but there's only one way to find out!

Hi Mikx!
Funny Remix you did there. The part of the sax is really cool. I wish you`d have played more of the melody (one of my favoured melodies in childhood ) itself and not only parts, but other than that the remix is well done.

Mikx:
Couldn't resist it, and played your song in my radioprogram
Go here, and manoeuvrere yourself to 37.30 (the rest is excellent work too, since it's my own choice of elektronic music, but okay ). Nodd your head, and smile. It will be online all week
Kind regards, and thanks for the song (pom pom pom pom),
