you will have to register the program to do this in Madtracker. It'll cost you like 40 bucks or something and then you get access to this site where you can download your wave export and registred dat file.
Check out this for more info

but that will only get him half the way, since MT only exports to wav
There is an easy way to do this I think, just use winamps diskwriter funktion. In theory it should create a wav of the xm it plays, which you can then convert to mp3 with some other proggie. Haven't tried this though, so no guaranties it will work... |

Or else there's Modplug Tracker (including mp3 export if you use the lame encoder I think). You have a plethora of options. |

Well, you can play the .xm on winamp (saves resources), set the recording channel of the soundcard on "Wave", record the song with a sample editor (cooledit or other) and then just export it to any format that you want.
I do this alot when I can't rip sratched cd's, works fine |

+ It have NO compatibility artifacs with FastTracker - and it is the most important for me. MadTracker and most players (or all) have no full compatibility.
+ It's audio quality: perfect. Even it have spline interpolation mode for high quality samples.
- But is a command-line DOS program, so requires a bit skill. |
