|
When loading multiple samples to one instrument (for drums use for instance), is it possible to do an "auto-range" on them so that they play their c-3 on, lets say, q,w,e,r,t,y , in order?
Speaking of which... How do you make a sample sound C-3 regardless of what key you press? |

Hi Souleye!
Thats pretty easy. You just need to enter the original sampling note into the name e.g. piano_C4 , piano_e4 etc. Then use the autorange function in the instrument window, (green wave with dropdown arrow). Madtracker will then detect and assign the correct pitch. A very useful feature. Works pretty well together with chainer.
Hope that helps

A program that exports defined single-note wav files from VST instruments. It's not really needed for MT, nowadays. |

But it can be useful since some VSTs have a quite high cpu usage but great sound. I have only 1 GHz PIII |

Yes, but you'll still have to assign it to keys in the instrument editor right? |
what is hip?

Good, I solved some problems, however I'm still in a jam. I have a oneshot sample, and when I play a c-4 with any other sample, I get a c-4, but this one plays a d-4. Renaming is and using auto-range doesn't help, and I can't transpose it in any way so it fits in with the other instruments. The only way I've figured out so far is to resample the sample, but that's really annoying and cumbersome.
All in all, I've never liked the sample management in madtracker. It's lacking in many areas imho. |

Hey Souleye, have you tried to set the sample base note in the sample settings window? If it plays a D-4 if you hit a C-4 tray to lower that note by 2 halftones it should then play in tune. |
