How about a german translation of the help file But that would mean even more work for me although I`d like to help with. Lotsa work here, projects, exams, labs.

Not sure if I already adviced this by messenger, but have you already done a complete clean install? Simply remove MadTracker from your 'software' panel in the configuration screen of Windows XP, and remove the folder of MadTracker from wherever it might be located. Then, do a clean install, and first define the location of your VST plugins folder. Then, perform the necessary audio settings (don't select the DX device, and don't use Callback and Accurate Device).
If the problem persists, than something really odd is happening. Yannick is working on the final version of RC4, which hopefully will solve this problem. Post the results of the experiment as described above in this thread, since MindPlay had a similar problem and solved it this way. I also noticed that a complete clean install can solve instability problems (for whatever reason, by the way ).

hey, I know this isnt the place to make suggestions about the next version of madtracker but, I think you should takeout the individual track volumes option and find room to put a master volume level in easy veiw on the main interface, cause it kind of sucks switching into the mixer all the time just to check the master volume level. this would be great.
on a side note, I think there's something wrong with the cpu usage gauge, like most the time it says i'm maxed out but when I open task manager it says I got 30% or more cpu to use. btw, madtracker begins to slow crackle pop and stop even with more cpu to go. And was wondering why?
thanks

QBical: About getting RC4 to work, I got it running like this:
1. remove ALL previous versions of MT
2. remove ALL madtracker folders in the program files directory (if there are any)
3. run regedit, do a search for madtracker and remove all keys that point to the program in any way (no need to delete IE history keys or such, only everything that looks like it's got something to do with the program itself)
4. Install RC4, go into settings and setup the folders and audio settings of your choice. Cubic interpolation seems to have some issues when running at 44.1kHz or 48kHz so avoid that.
5. now it should work... |

sweet, I figured out what causes the feed back in cpu processing with the eq, I guess it has to do with the sample playing then reaching the end of its file, so if I just loop the end of every file with an inserted silence it works fine and put on continue sample in the note detection. it still does it when I press stop.. all good thou, I'm getting some really nice results now.
Thanks again Yannick and Mind Play

To prevent CPU hogging, disable the EQ view, or the EQ completely (double-click on all its points to reset them to zero).
There is no other fix available. I am working on this issue for the next RC.

I found another way to stop it, just quick hit alt then ctr. it for some reason resets something to keep the hogging low while playing back, thou if your pattern is near the end it could loop it again, but it helps. got to baby sit the playback which is fine cause your sapost to do that anyways in madtracker. |

I`we just experienced that the MT logo on startup didnt disappear. I think perhaps it was because I resized the window before it disappeared that caused the logo to stay on screen. Everything else seemed to be working. Everything worked as usual after a restart, so I guess its just a minor bug.
