someday I will be a frisbee, hehe.
wow, didn't expect that voice at all.
really nice, you only made one take or what? either way it seems she has a future as a singer, she sure has the look and charisma for it. can't really say anythin about the lyrics since that's not an area I know my way around. the guitar play is mellow and a nice backup for the song, it doesn't take over too much and distract too the rest.
the recording; my first thought was that the guitar was a tad low in volume specially when she sang louder. But after listening to it a couple of times I changed my mind but I would probably used a compressor of some sort on her voice. the dynamics just seems a bit to large when she sings louder, her voice takes over too much then (just a few times over the whole song). On the other hand this video was probably made to expose her voice so... And a "puff protection"(swe-english?) for the mic could be of use.
you can hear just a bit too much air been blowing in the mic a few times. Apart from that, love it, sounds very clean and pro. nice work Elijah and Kiesa!
also really fun to see where you are hanging around producing.
how could you not wear a hat! |

shes got a really good voice and also its a decent track if a little generic. reminded me a little of a female jack johnson. what are you plans for the full production?
was cool to see all the gear youve got as well. |

thanks guys. we are going to do a full album by april 21th. thats the goal. Her music can be classified as folk-rock i guess. but she is very witty when it comes to lyrics. basically this is - yes - just to showcase her, as well as my studio. and its just an acoustic version of the song.
That was all done in one take, and i am personally impressed with the quality myself... although i shouldve ran through the song once first for the levels because it clips a couple times. her voice is very dynamic and its a bitch to record without a compressor.
i didnt hook up my compressor because it creates too much noise on the line. i need another breaker, which i dont have... unless anybody could give me other suggestions, i can give u an example if you like... (you can hear my hard drive working)
as for the pop screen. i cant find mine. haha. i have no idea where it is at all.
anyways i will post some more videos later too. me and my girlfriend will be producing her album as well. she's does a lot of rock music.
thanks for the feedback guys - even if it was a little off topic. but i will post videos in the music section. |
