why does this error errase my mixes. http://n0n.madtracker.net/error.bmp , the song still plays but I get it when I try and delete a vst sometimes. and in track 10 there, I did have 4 in there, tried to delete one and they all disapeared and these violations pop up. I learned not to save when this happens cause it saves an empty file, but I have no idea what sound output has to do with the madtracker playback file. help, cause I just lost another mix. |

yep, looks familiar to me too, including the saving to an empty file. Really annoying... Sometimes the .bak file has been able to save me, but most of the time it get's the silent treatment too. That's why I these days save to different files several times per session, if the song is something I feel could go somewhere... |

Yea I know, but too often I do this just falling into the flow. I'll sit down with nothing and just start writing then boom the error comes up and its all gone. And starting a song is the hardest part about writing one, after that its all just technical tweaks. oh well, thanks Sunbuster. I'll put a note on my pc screen. |

OK, Yannick needs our help. The next time this happens to one of us, we should give the most detailed list of events to get this fixed. I know I would be gratefull to not have to worry about this, as I'm sure are lots of prospecting users of MT. |

I am pretty much certain that this problem occurs after a defined sequence of actions.
For instance, I found recently that MT may produce errors if you delete a plugin which has its UI opened.

Yannick, I was thinking at work, and I think I did have the VST's UI open when I deleted it.. So maybe that is the problem. I'll see if I can replicate the error.. |

Well that didn't take long, yep you hit it right on the head, VST UI open and deleting the VST... MT dont like that. This is good news then. YAY. |
