No.
VST Plugins support has been added since MadTracker 2.5.0.
2.3.2 is the latest stable version, but if you want to use VST plugins I think you can safely download and use the version 2.5.0 RC5. So far it received very positive feedback.

All plugins that are described in the Plugins database, are plugins which can successfuly be used inside MadTracker.
VST is a standard (currently 2.3 or something like that), and hence MadTracker should be able to host every VST plugin. Please post problems with VST's here though, so Yannick can check if there's something wrong with MadTracker (or the VST itself).

hey aximal, if you're talking about the drumatic, you need to use an octave lower than normal. |

Thanks for all the help. Also, is there a clear upgrade path from mt232 to 2.5? Or do i have to uninstall mt232 before installing mt2.5? |

You can install over an old version if you want to keep your settings.

Well, every time I did this, my current colors are gone and MadTracker starts with the default scheme. |

It *shouldn't* happen anymore. And if you save your colors as a scheme, there won't be any problem anyway.
