Hi
Just was wondering what sound system people have?
I've got marantz seperates (cd5000 cd player and fm4200 amp), and eltax symphony speakers and some wireless vivanco headphones. I'm looking to get a DAB radio for my stack, any suggestions?
cheers

I've got a Pioneer VSX-808RDS reciver hooked up to a pair of old OR speakers. Also in the rack is a Pioneer PD-S507 CD-player, a Sony PS-212A turntable, Sony TC-K45 tapedeck, Pioneer CT-850 tape deck and a modded XBOX. Speakers connected directly to my comp at the moment are a pair of cheap plastic boxes, but I'm in works of building a pair of active monitor speakers to replace them. Also have a pair of AKG-401 headphones |

-> sony reciever, not sure of modelnr since I'm not at home.
-> turbosound impact studiospeakers. these babies are the best speakers I've ever had!
-> xtz 10" subwoofer for swift bass. (I like fast music).
some people doubt in my choice in reciever. I was first gonna buy a nad for twice the price, but after listening and comparing the two with the same speakerset I decided to get the sony. not that the sony sounded better, but the nad didn't sound good enough for me to pay twice the amount for it...
the set sounds great for all kinds of music. even a guy I know who's worked as a sound technician for 20 years approve of it.
best of all is that the set is worth about £1200 but I got it all for £450. it's good to have contacts. |
