1. There would *always* be a bypass switch for FX
2. They would never override the stereo position
3. They would respect the current track volume setting
4. There would be a choice between max. quality algorithm(s) for rendering, and reduced quality (i.e. faster) sufficient for working purposes
5. There would be no ridiculous latency of up to 1 second (like with a few VST's in my collection)
The only problem is, I don't know how to make a VST 
(well, except with SynthEdit perhaps).
