Howdy, I noticed some old posts on the forum suggesting the use of the "ED" effect to delay the notes. Sounds good, but where does the information exist on this effect? I can't find it in help. (I know I saw a post somewhere on the 'net awhile back on how to do it, but I can't find it anymore).
In a possibly related question -- I'd like to do an octave glissando in the "traditional" sense... that is, I want to hit all the notes in the scale very quickly, not a smooth pitch bend (which is what the glissando effect in MT does). I have a bad feeling I'm going to have to put the notes across 7 tracks the beat before the last note of the glissando and delay each of them...? And I guess I would have to do similar for any other 'grace notes' that I want to do? |

read the helpfile:

that will give you an explanation of the effects you are asking about |

Awesome, thanks for the info, that makes perfect sense on how to do the triplets. In fact, that also solves my question about how to do the scale glissando!
Though, I will note that there's no info on the 'ED' delay effect under 'effects' in MT's help file. There's a link to a comparison chart of IT and FT effects... I guess I'll have to dig out my old manuals for those... |
