Using the offset command on long audiofiles. |

Hi everyone!
Im having problems to use the offset command 9 on longer audiofiles.It works fine on shorter audiofiles like drumloops.I tried with a minute long vocal wavfile
but the command only triggered the beginníng of the audiofile.
Is it possible to use the command on longer audiofile or not.
Im kind of confused......
Please help me !!!!
