Qbical in mt2 form

hey all,

just finished this track...

I had an school assignment in wich I needed to use a 'turnaround' chord-progression in a composition.

So I worked it out with all free VST's, here's the mt2 file...

QBical - Ode to Trackers
it was done in an hour or so, so don't expect anything fancy Wink

The song uses Nanotron which is not in MTs database, The 20 MB VST can be downloaded from:

Woho! Loads of plugins I was lacking!

iblit.dll, peach.dll, RetroDelay.dll and toad.dll .. Searching... searching... Smile

Got it all down, but one or some of these plugins kinda mess up! I get a error message from MT2 when quiting MT2 stating that the VST could not be cleared properly.

The song also "sounds wrong". I'll give it a better check later on... right now it sound like a bad chiptune.

All the effects are in the madtracker plugin database, and should work, try to rescan them within madtracker's controlpanel...

Hi
Seems to me that the Peach plugin is bugging. I downloaded it from the mt2 database, and have tried re-scan.

Anyone else have this problem with peach?

The chords you do with intrument #3 is like... arpeggio chiptune stuff... and even later in the song it bugs on a melody line from instrument #4. I can't really believe it should sound like this.. Will do a waveexport later on.

hmm the only chords that are playing is with the nanotron, it's not chiptune at all, just a flute...

The only arp like thing is an iblit synth that has an highpass lfo modulated filter, do you mean that?

Yeah, it does weird things here too, but that might be because I'm using a beta. Will try again without asio as sound device.

Update: the .mt2 says that there is no vst connected to instrument 3. Does the version currently online work without the nanotron?

My biggest problem is that I can't even do a Wave export!

Wave export is greyed out after I load this module... ! So I can't give you a good example of how it sounds, either.

That's because you're not the maker of the module. Only qbical can export it.

Okey.

Well, I could always record the "analogue" lineout from one PC playing to another PC recording.

I'll only do it if you are really interesting in the output, Qbical. If not, I won't bother doing it. Smile

hmmz, I made the track with an preview version, so that'll probably be the problem, when I open it from the internet into madtracker every thing works fine...

Anywayz you can hear the track as MP3 here

And I guess that the track should work witin madtracker in a few days...

I also had a problem with instrument 3 and the supposedly linked VST. But then the problem was gone for some reason. (I hate such bugs.)

But was that in the current preview or in 2.5? And when the problem gone away, was the link between instrument 3 and the vst still there, or did that problem persist?
