ive been working on another track for my new album, it is sort of electro, with some breakbeat, then evolving into progressive trance towards the end. heres the link...

please let me know what you think (i think it gets maybe a bit repetitive towards the end).
cheers

You are right about it getting a bit repetitive towards the end. The basic stuff in there is good, but somehow I don't find it very interesting. I think you should spice it up with something, perhaps something in the percussions area. Or maybe some subtle background melody supporting what's going on at the front. |

thanks very much for your comments.
sunbuster, i took on board your comments (extremely useful as always). Ive given the track a breakbeat throughout, added a heavily phasered saw arp, a low triangle arp, and built the beats up throughout. heres the final result...

Im really pleased with the final result, but any comments would be very welcome.
thanks once again.

as a side note, i originally made the track in about 2 hours, just building patterns up as i went, rather than over thinking it and the melody in particular turned out well (i started with bass and layered synths on top of that). |

Nice track I must say! Synthwork is great, reminds me of Nu-Nrg's stuff. The beat is.. hmm, good, but imo lacks a certain "power", maybe I would add more hihats and a stronger snare, maybe even a stronger bassdrum. But that's just my opionion
One thing that confused me is this small synth snippet at 00:45-00:50. The first time I heard it, it sounded totally out of place, I mean, the way it ends suddenly. I'd probably remove it
anyway, thumbs up and keep up the good work |

thanks once again for the comments.
futuretribe: i did have a much stronger beat in one version of it, but decided on a more relaxed version in the end (ill go back and listen to the other version again though). the synths are mainly done with z3ta and the classic effects (phaser, auto filter, chorus and delay all used about 6 times). the filtered pad at 0:45 i put in as a sort of teaser for what comes in later in the track (plus it smooths the introduction of the saw lead) and tried with and without it, but decided in the end to keep it.
im pleased that you both like it as i feel its one of my best tracks so far.
cheers
