Posted: Tue Jan 10 2006 15:34 Note Entry |

Way back when, I used to have a program called "ModEdit" on my XT, AT and 286 through 486 computers. It was DOS based, so with the age of WIN 95 and consorts, it stopped being updated and kind of died. When I came across MadTracker the other day, I was thrilled to see someone had made a very much improved version of ModEdit for WIN platforms.
One thing I do miss in this version of MadTracker though. When entering notes, it appears that the only way to do this is by using the keyboard's key map. I was wondering if there is an option anywhere to allow note entry like text. Where when I press A, I get an A on my score or when I press B, I get a B (rather than a G). I think it would be a great asset to MadTracker if it would support this type of note entry.
I went through the configuration screens to see if it was an option which needed to be enabled somewhere, but I could not find anything like that.
Is there any way I can modify the key map or where I can enable this option or even download a plugin or patch which would allow me to do this?
Thanks!

There is unfortunately no way to customize the keyboard layout in MT2.

In that case... could you add that to the suggestion box? Or should I submit this as a separate thread in the suggestions forum?
Thanks!

It's already been suggested many times. It'll be featured in version 3 (release date unknown).
