 |
I seriously have tried everything. I need some help. I can't get madtracker to make even a little blip with ASIO. I'm using an emu1616m soundcard, and a korg microkontrol midi keyboard, both with the newest drivers. If there is anyone out there that can help me...pleeeeeeeeease speak up...
Thanks.. |

ok. I got it to work for a split second, but there was at least 5 seconds of latency...and then I tried a different vst (korg's wavestation) and madtracker froze, my keyboard started flashing all of its lights (wtf?) and when madtracker unfroze, the sound had been disabled...I reenabled it, and the lights started flashing again...what on earth is going on? |

and now, after trying to close madtrack, it won't leave my taskbar. This seems to happen kind of a lot. I think it's pretty safe to say that 2.6 has got some serious issues... |

You can try this fix. But the Wave Export will stop working with it. Make a backup of your MT2.exe before applying it.
It should fix some ASIO issue as well as the beep in the chat. I couldn't reproduce the fact that MT stays in the taskbar, so I'm not sure if it'll fix that as well.

Did the fix work? Would be interesting for me to know, because I'm thinking of buying a Emu 1820 soundcard...

Do you think the Audigy 2 ZS Notebook would have the same driver base as your soundcard?
I've been reported some problems with ASIO and Creative/EMU soundcards already. So if I get one myself, it may be the easiest and fastest way to fix the problem.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I imagine that they probably do, since they're the same company now. I guess it'd be worth a shot??

If the EMU you have came out after Creative's shopping round, then it could be possible they share the same driverbase. If on the other hand it was already on the market at that stage I doubt Creative would have gone through the trouble of re-writing the drivers. They'd probably just continue development of the old ones, if that.

Can you post the full description of your setup? OS, SP#, drivers version, etc.
