Posted: Sat Feb 04 2006 22:41 "Open" option in IE when downloading an OGG? |
|
When I'm downloading an mp3, in IE (Maxthon to be precise), I get the 3 normal choices: Open, Save as, and cancel. When clicking an ogg link, I only get Save as and cancel. Whatup? How do I rectify this? I want them to work like the mp3s where I just open and they play automatically in winamp.
Refrain from chanting firefox please, since I'm deaf on that ear. |

Are you sure this is IE related? IE opens OGG files normally on my system. Maybe you need to associate OGG files with WINAMP if you have not already done so.
Choose the "open with" dialogbox by rightclikking the downloaded OGG file, choose WINAMP and make sure the "always use this program" is checked. This should work under XP. |

I had already done that, so that's not the issue. I redid it just to be sure but it didn't help. |
