Maby it would be nice to include an auto-save function that lets you roll back to an earlier version...
I guess it's pretty hard to implement this to react to certain actions in madtracker, so I guess the best way is an option for the user to insert a time in the config file ( 15 mins - 30 mins - 60 mins... ) at wich the file is saved, also it should be possible for the user to select how many auto-save files should be created ( as in 1-2-3-4-5 ) to let the user roll back a great deal if he wants.
An option to delete the auto-save files upon proper saving the file popped into my thoughts, but that would do nothing about the bug described above, you would still be left with the same problem, so maby it sould be possible in the menu. There should then be the option to delete the auto-save files of the current project that's open in madtracker. This can be done when a track is complete for example.
It's a bit crude, but it's an undo! |

My problem, is that I usualy save the file twice just to be sure, then the .bak file is the same as the orginal... (This is something I'm used to since I have forgot to save sometimes before, when you where not asked to save at all). So if anything happends to the orginal .mt2 file, the .bak file usualy has the same error:( Thats why I try to add a number to the songname every time I save! Like: name1 name2, name3, etc. I can end up with 50 saved files of the same song, and my hdd is a mess since I never cleen up:) |

I think this needs to be fixed, or one of the suggested backup methods from my post implemented, I still havent realoaded the samples in my song, its just to hard, and it kind of has put me off to writing since. |

I have to create "new instruments" and assign vsti's again, also i have to load other sample based instrumants again to right slots.
Fortunately i have labeled tracks. |
