|
hi there!
i use mad tracker to compose the drums, bass guitars and synthie parts for my songs. then i export everything to single wave files import them into cubase sx3 and record the guitars and vocals.
i was excited when i heard that mad tracker features rewire support, because that would make the rewriting of song structures a lot easier without having to export all the instruments again and again
technically it's all working fine...though it seems a bit cpu hungry
but now a question to the pros...
im used to preview single patterns a lot while composing. but the controls for play pattern etc. dont seem to work in mt2 when it is started in rewire mode. so i have to use cubase controls, but of course cubase doesn't have a play pattern function. when i understand correctly, that is because cubase is the host programm and therefore responsible for playback control...but this is soooo essential for me
i hope you understand what i mean...
so anyone knows how to get the pattern preview to work in rewire mode? or maybe you have any other hints to make the workflow easier for me?
greetings,

Well, have you tried setting a loop in Cubase? MT should follow it. All you need is to know where your pattern starts and ends in Cubase.
