The Jolly Nekromanseri - SissyOnTheSeaFloor

OK... I kind of finished this new piece some time ago, and now I decided it's finished. I really had no interested in mixing, though tried some time. So it's quite unmixed still, but well, maybe it suits the feeling of the track... Maybe?

In this episode Sissy runs into Joonas Kollektiivinen on a nightly street. She gets raped, killed and thrown into the sea floor. . . Crying or Very sad (Yeah, tough...)

Well anyways, if for some reason you feel up for some mixing, let me know.. .. .. Wink

Wow i'm listening to it now, and this looks like some heavy expirimental stuff.

Well it sounds cool i can tell you that. Even though most of the time when i hear more effects then melodies i turn it off, but this piece just keeps pulling my attention.

Very original and nice work

this is quite a crazy trip. there are a lot of switches and different melodies, drumming, fx etc all thrown in there. its very interesting to listen to, although a little heavy for my usual tastes.
in terms of production there are some great sounds in there, and unique application of fx. also, its clear that a lot of work has gone into every aspect of the track. it is very complex sounding.
for me, the drums arent suitable for the track and are the only thing that would put me off listening to an otherwise cool track. in my opinion (and it is only mine of course) using processed hits or more techy sounding drums would make the track infinitely cooler.
other than that its great, although an eq boost on the high and lows and maybe an exciter on the drums would be a good idea.

enough rambling from me.

cheers

andy

@ Breaker: Glad you like it. I kind of put the distorted drums and changed the beat a bit in the "last minute". I think they spice it up a bit.

Yeah I experimented a bit with different kinds of drums, but found those (almost) initially chosen to suit my taste the best. And yeah, the mixing was quite much left partially done (although the sub-bass lost quite some power in the export it seems), so thanks for the tips. I'll take a look if I ever get myself to mixing it... (Which is quite unlikely I guess.)
