Hi all, Just a quick intro post.
I'm Rob, based in the UK.
I used to spend most of my free time tracking about 15 years ago and it's great to see the format is still alive and kicking.
I recently discovered MadTracker and I am re-educating myself on it's use! Brilliant stuff!! Things have advanced somewhat since my last usage on ProTracker on the old Amiga!
I love the old school music scene and I'm currently working on tracking an old ZX Spectrum game tune! I plan to do a fairly accurate version first and then when I have the tune worked out I want to do a decent version.
I had forgotten how time consuming tracking is! I spent about 5 hours last night and produced about 20seconds of the track!
Anyway! Keep it alive!
Rob. |

I don't know what I used on the Amiga 600 (the only name that comes to mind is Orange Tracker, but that seems to be non-existing), but nevertheless: welcome and enjoy your stay round here! |

I would say that you think about MelonTracker. It was a hack of Protracker by the demogroup Melon. The only difference was the interface which had a bit "cooler" design

Hey! I've just learned that I'm a former Protracker-user. Does that make me 1337 round here? |

Null modem cable maybe? Or buy a PCMCIA network card to it and send it over via network cable..
If you've got some time you can always use disks. You can read PC disks as an included feature in os3.x ..

We even had this sampler and were able to transform Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit into a hardcore gabber track. We were the 1337'st of the 1337's, so to speak. |
