Posted: Thu Jul 06 2006 15:04 I'm a TRANCER! (vol.01) // Finding voices for my last MT2!! |
 |
From Madtracker Compo 2005 results, I was "furious" with myself, beacuse my entry (W.Y.M.T.O.), really was very disappointed, empty about originality!.
Bue, I'm a TRANCER!! I made goods MT2... but it's not enought for me.
My last MT2 in trance, was that, W.Y.M.T.O., so the next trance MT2 have to impress all the people (well,... maybe all people who like this kind os music)... and, from 1 month, I've been making a good MT2 (very good personally speaking)... but I need voices on this MT2. I need someone who can help me on this trance MT2, ""singing"" for it!.
--Don't do it for me, do it for TRANCE MUSIC!--
Here you are a MP3, only with 1:20 min, of my last trance (at current time un-finished 5 minutesMT2).
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=DA036944676A8C33
Listed it, and write your opinion about it...
And if someone wants to put in it "your" voices, or have "good idea" for that song, contact me or reply this topic!
Thanks!! |

I think this track works well without vocals , however good vocals are always a plus!
First thing i was thinking about while listening your snippet was : Pump up the tempo, it's a bit slow, i think you should move it up to 130-135 Bpm at least to give it some more drive...
Where to go with this track i realy can't tell by the 1:20 snippet ... |
Music ... is endless ... Work in progress ...

oks!! I speed it up!! but, only 5bpm more (remember it's trance style, more than 125-130, tranform it to techno/techno-trance!)
----
About "voices", appart from I write before, I'm finding "packs" of wave, ogg, aiff, etc, with the tipical voices (ex: saying ""enter"", ""are you ready"", ""in the edge of sounds"", etc, etc). I long time ago I found one web which contains lots of voices, but nowadays I can't remember the url of that web" :"P

Appart from that, remember, all kind of replies will be welcome!! |

NO!! it's true, bmp not says the type of music, but, it's true that you can't do "makina" music on for ex. in 120bmp, do house music using 140-150bmp... is it??
try to put at 150bmp one mp3 file of dance music, and it will be "returned" to "strange techno", or "accelerated club remix", awaw!! jajaja!!! |

That depends on the region where you live and the conventions you follow. In The Netherlands, the average trance track is rather fast (130-145), the average techno track is quite industrial and fast (130 to 170), and the average house track is quite slow (120 to 135). Nevertheless, there are no rules concerning the relations between speed and genre. More precise, there are no rules for genres. People follow arbitrary rules because the general public enjoys recognizable things, but rules don't provide success (or lack thereof).
Your track could use more speed, because the vibe of the track does not correspond to its actual speed. That is independent of the genre that you want to place it is; it's about the soul of your music and providing that soul the most optimal environment, not the rules that you decide to follow. |

Yeah!, Inge always explains very well:P
I know.. I know..!
Maybe I like to follow some "popular ideas" about music genere. I always do 130bmp MT2 files (+or-, 125-135bmp), not only for "the rules"... With madtracker, If I try to star a MT2 using more than 140bmp... I can't finish it!! jaja. I can't do good melody or good break...so the thing I do, is star always with 130 or 125bmp, an then , my brother listen my MT2, and I follow his intructions!! jeje
thanks'!! |
