hellooo..
as many of you already know, there is no ASPI support for windows versions based on NT. so there's a driver that you can download and install..
normally i do that and it works on my win2Kpro, but this time it's different.. audiograbber won't let me select the ASPI ripping method after installing the drivers, and i did this a few times just to make sure..
any ideas??
thanks

I have the same problem with audiocatalyst, although I never really looked into the matter. I use wavelab for wave ripping, since it should be done digital anyway. Weird it is though...anyone else any ideas?

Tip #1 - Use AudioGrabber, not AudioCatalyst. AudioGrabber was created and maintained by the same people as AudioCatalyst (Jackie Franck), and looks very similar, but it's basically the new revision of AudioCatalyst with improvements.
Tip #2 - I had the same ASPI issue myself. Windows NT and XP do not include ASPI managers as did all previous Windows versions. How I fixed the problem was I installed a 3rd party ASPI manager, though I can't recall the name or location of it. What I do remember is that after I installed the ASAPI manager it still did not work, then I switched to AudioGrabber from AudioCatalyst and it did (After rebooting of course).
Tip #3 - Truthfully, using WindowsNT/2000 calls instead of ASPI should work just fine, unless something else is terribly wrong with your IDE controller setup! (As is mine, fyi...)
Hope this helps!
