Shut up.
A pal of mine has informed me that you are all in desperate need of a mix master. Well, first you should know that he's not a real person. He's a blue squirrel with buck teeth. What's my issue with squirrels lately?
So anyway, I downloaded this Mad Chain song. I listened to it twice before I was in a coma. Not that the song sucked but it took 25 minutes to listen to it twice and by that time I had killed a 24 pack of brew. But when I woke up the next day I concluded that I would NOT mix this song down, because:
1. it would take nearly half a year. Damn.
2. Only a few things need fixin':
A) Such as the guitar solos. They're at a 170 volume, and I think they should be at 225 each.
B) The first instrument, the bass drum, needs DC offset to zero. If you don't know what that means ask someone with a double digit IQ. I just faded the sample in and out to fix it quick, just because I was vomiting at the time. There may be several other samples that need this treatment, but I didn't check. I did, however check my pool of vomit for a prize, but found none.
C) As long as the gain is set to 5 in MT, I was hapy with the rest of it. So... There ya go
Fix these issues then it's done. That was easy

I was practically begged to come back so I could mix the chain song. but while i'm here, I may as well stick around and share more of my wisdom on a regular basis. So deal with it.

After my suggested fixes have been done, of course. |

I'm confused. Where does it say a song has to be maximum length of 10 minutes?. My personal longest piece was about 40 minutes and it wasn't even finished.
